Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas)
Nitrous oxide, commonly known as laughing gas, is inhaled through the mouth and nose. The medication calms patients even though they remain awake and able to communicate. It also tends to lessen anxiety, increase pain threshold, reduce gag reflex and make time pass more quickly.
IV Sedation
IV sedatives are administered directly into the bloodstream through the vein for the deepest level of sedation without general anaesthesia. Our dental team will attach you to a monitor so that your dentist is able to track your vital signs throughout your procedure.
